ABOUT CPS SOCCER CAMP
CPS Soccer Camp is a privately owned soccer camp. CPS Soccer Academy is founded and directed by former Sheffield Wednesday (England), Liverpool (England), New York Red Bulls (Major League Soccer), Vitoria de Setubal (Portuguese Liga Sagres), Gil Vicente FC (Portuguese Liga Sagres) and current Toronto FC (Major League Soccer) player Caleb Patterson-Sewell.
Patterson-Sewell, has played in some of the best leagues in the world. The Portuguese Liga Sagres consists of former Champions League winners FC Porto, Benfica and Sporting Lisbon to name but a few. Caleb has been by the Australian Mens National Team. Caleb is also eligible for the US Mens National Team.
ABOUT CPS SOCCER CAMPS
Caleb, was nominated for goalkeeper of the year in the Portuguese Liga Honra in the 2011/12 season while playing for Atletico de Portugal. In doing so he was the only American/Australian to ever be nominated for goalkeeper of the year. With Atletico, he started in 29 games, posted 12 shutouts, and had a 1.17 Goals Against Average. These stats rated only behind Tim Howard and Brad Friedel among American goalkeepers during the 2011/12 season.
In 2008, Caleb won the Western Conference championship with the New York Red Bulls. Caleb then went to the MLS Cup final where the New York Red Bulls lost 3-1 to the Columbus Crew at The Home Depot Center in LA in front of 27,000 fans. Caleb is a NSCAA and FFA licensed coach.
In 2018, Caleb was part of the Toronto FC team that went to the final of the CONCACAF Champions League against Chivas. In 2019, Caleb was part of the Toronto FC team that went to the MLS Cup Final against Seattle Sounders in front of 70,000+ fans.
Caleb is the only soccer player to come from Tennessee that has played both in the Major League Soccer and in the Portuguese Premier League, the 5th biggest league in the world. During the past 5 years Caleb has played against some of the worlds biggest stars including the following: Casemiro (Real Madrid), James Rodriguez (Real Madrid), Otamendi (Man. City), Danilo (Juventus), Alex Sandro (Juventus), Oblak (At. Madrid), Matic (Man. Utd), Mangala (Valencia), Julio Cesar (Benfica/Brazil), Quaresma (Besiktas), Ederson (Man City).
By opening CPS Soccer Camps, Caleb hopes to provide players in America with reputable programs where each player can go to work on their game in a top quality environment while receiving hands on work from our experienced coaching staff at every camp they attend.
"When I was growing up, it was really difficult for my mother to find me quality training programs. We would ofter drive for hours and go overseas for training. I hope to change this for the next generation and make top level coaching accessible for them. I believe its crucial that current professional players get involved with the next generation. We want to provide the best camp in Tennessee at an affordable price. We are not trying to "select" kids to go to a European camp like other large brands are doing. We know the rules and understand that any child selected to go to Europe with the idea of being signed to a contract simply can't happen unless they have a European passport. This is not what we are about. We want to bring the best camp right here to Nashville so these players are simply getting a first class experience in their own back yards so to speak"
